First Visit

Your initial appointment will consist of a comprehensive dental examination and a full mouth series of x-rays.  The comprehensive examination consists of taking a blood pressure reading, performing an oral cancer screening  and a periodontal evaluation.  The dentist will evaluate the examination and x-rays, discuss any issues or concerns you may have and determine appropriate diagnosis and treatment options for your dental health.  Occasionally, treatment may begin on the same day as the initial appointment. 

Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your appointment:

• A copy of a full mouth series of  X-rays or other diagnostic films if applicable.
• A list of medications you are presently taking.
• If you have dental insurance, bring the necessary dental insurance card. This will save time and allow us to help process any claims on your behalf.

IMPORTANT: A parent or guardian must accompany all patients under 18 at the initial appointment visit.

Please alert the office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern prior to your initial first visit appointment (i.e. diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, artificial limbs, pins or screws placed in your body, rheumatic fever, etc.) or if you are on any medication (i.e. heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc.) or require medication prior to dental cleanings (i.e antibiotics, for pre-med.)
